Warninks Advocaat was originally
produced in Amsterdam in 1616 by Erven Warnink.
It is made from completely natural ingredients –
brandy, egg yolks (over 40 million eggs are used
each year in the making of Warninks Advocaat), vanilla
and sugar - to a recipe that hasn’t changed
since the day it was first made. With a rich, velvety
consistency it tastes just like a boozy custard,
and it has endless mixing
possibilities because it doesn’t curdle
in fruit juice like other cream liqueurs. I also
have it on good authority that adding it to trifles
and fruit smoothies gives them the most amazing
custardy sweetness. |
