Looking for some great cocktail ideas for the winter party season? Well – you’ve come to the right place. Look no further and try out some of our recommendations! We have included a variety of suggestions including some festive classics and others which are ideal for serving at a party for maximum impact and minimum effort.

Blackberry Fiz

Blackberry Fiz This cocktail is so easy to make! An elegant blend of De Kuyper Blackberry with Brut Champagne. The Blackberry Fizz is an ideal cocktail to welcome guests at any party and very quick to mix together. Simply add a measure of De Kuyper Blackberry to a flute glass and then top up with the Champagne for a lovely bubbly cocktail. For an extra touch of finesse, you can garnish the drink with a fresh blackberry. This recipe is a variation on the classic Kir Royale cocktail of De Kuyper Crème de Cassis and Champagne – however the simple combination of a liqueur and Champagne works well with many liqueur styles and flavours. Have a look at our recipes for Blu Fizz, Kir Framboise and Champagne Charlie for some alternative Champagne cocktail ideas.

Mulled Wine

Mulled Wine A classic winter cocktail to keep you warm from the inside! Probably less of a cocktail and more of a punch - containing a real taste explosion from warming tones of Three Barrels Brandy, the citrus flavours of De Kuyper Triple Sec along with the richness of Ruby Port and Red Wine plus the aromatic spiciness of allspice berries, cloves, cinnamon sticks and a bay leaf. Click through to see how to make the recipe. Please note the quantities shown are for 6 generous serves and are quite high in alcohol content. (If you want to make the finished drink less strong and still retain as much of the flavour as possible

Snowball It just wouldn’t be winter without this traditional retro cocktail! Very easy to make – shake 2 measures of Warninks Advocaat (no other advocaat will do for the sweet custardy taste and hints of vanilla) with the lime juice and pour into a highball glass half filled with ice cubes, top up with lemonade. Be sure to pour the lemonade slowly and carefully as it makes the Warninks Advocaat very frothy before it settles. Stir carefully and serve. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it – Warninks Advocaat is an overlooked cocktail gem – no wonder Granny and Great Aunty Mabel love it so much!

White Lady

White Lady A classic recipe dating back to what is often considered the heyday for cocktails in the 1920s and 1930s. This elegant cocktail is made using 2 measures of Hendrick’s Gin and a measure of Cointreau plus half a measure of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Shake all the ingredients together with plenty of ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Chic in its simplicity, this recipe perfectly balances the dryness of the Hendrick’s Gin with the tangy orange essences of Cointreau.

White Russian

White Russian A creamy cocktail which is given the warming aroma and taste of roasted, finely ground Jamaican coffee beans by the richness of the Tia Maria. Made with 2 measures of Russian Standard vodka, 2 measures of Tia Maria and 1.5 measures each of cream and milk – this is a velvety and smooth drink ideal for any occasion.

As always do please enjoy in-the-spirit’s recommended cocktails responsibly. Happy partying!!
