Here’s a great cocktail idea for you to try out which uses an often overlooked yet classic cocktail ingredient – Cherry Brandy. Cherry BlossomOften considered as an old fashioned drink for Mum or Granny, this is an essential ingredient for many classic recipes such as the Singapore Sling but also for a range of contemporary cocktail ideas.
Our Cherry Blossom cocktail recipe uses 1.5 shots of De Kuyper Cherry Brandy, 0.5 shots of De Kuyper Triple Sec mixed with fresh lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of caster sugar. The ingredients should all be shaken together with cubed ice and strained into a classic cocktail glass garnished with a cherry.
This beautiful cocktail has a fruity but still tangy flavour with hints of cherry, orange and lemon so it’s not too sweet or too bitter to the taste.
